i feel like a lot of people are about to say that geguri is either 1. an one trick or 2. only got in bc of outcry/blizzard wanting “diversity” but i think a lot of these people are ignoring her growth as a player.
she’s obviously made strides to deepen her heropool (i’ve seen her play roadhog, dva, zenyatta, and some dps), and has shown often that she is extemely talented at this game, and willing to put the work in to go pro. overwatch has only been out for about one year, coming up on two, yet geguri, with no known pro shooter experience, has managed to go up to no. 4 on the korean leaderboards. that’s fucking incredible
she’s worked her ass off to get here, got embroiled in a cheating scandal that went way too far, got into teams that either disbanded or suffered massive losses, yet kept going, kept improving. she deserves to be on shanghai (if the rumors are true) or whatever teams take her, not because she’s a girl, but because she’s fucking good.
