What are your thoughts on Canadian’s welcoming refugee’s around the US-Canadian border? I personally love it, but a lot of people are complaining. The recent comment I read was “I feel so sorry for Canadian taxpayers” ugh, okay then???

We’re not welcoming them automatically. The police are arresting them right after they enter, then later taking them to immigration processing.

If they do not qualify for refugee status they will be deported.

I hope they are accepted as refugees, but this is far from guaranteed.

A lot of these photos are being shared around social media without any context. Its frustrating when people keep saying that refugees are automatically free in Canada when they cross the border. Its far from that simple.

Exactly what I’m saying. And these out-of-context photos are just another excuse for Liberals to continue to blow smoke up their own asses and pat each other on the back for how “welcoming” Canada is while simultaneously doing fuck all about the situation.

I was just talking about this with a friend of mine who was an illegal immigrant here years ago, he says between Canada and America, the Canadian system was way harsher towards him than the American system was. Like people were ratting him out every where he went.

As far as I’m concerned we should be letting a ton more people in..

“They’re taking our jobs”… But are they? Most Canadians born here don’t want these jobs, they don’t pay well and are often hard work…

Its also proven that immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than people born here…

If someone comes to my door calling out to me for help to let them in or they’ll be murdered, I would let them in and can’t imagine anyone objecting to that.

We have one of the largest land masses in the world, with a population the size of California.. We should be letting more people come join us here in peace. It might even change us for the better in the process.
