re the whole “thank u hangzhou for these colors, now add some girl players!!” thing: there will most likely be no female overwatch league players joining for season two.
this isn’t bc of blizzard or team management being misogynistic, but for the fact that there’s just… no other women who play overwatch at that caliber who want to go to owl, and have the team experience needed. geguri was able to hop onto a team because she had prior experience playing for a high-level team before owl. annedro trialed for boston, but judging by the fact that they picked up fusions (who mains rein like her) they ultimately decided to pass her over. 177 would’ve been able to play in s2 and could’ve joined her teammates from lfz, but retired to focus on her education. eeveea and barcode have chronic illnesses that prevent them from going to owl, and rammy and fran seem satisfied with their streamer position.
my biggest advice would be to support teams that have female players in them in t2 and t3 (Legacy OCE, Breakaway are the two i can remember), give them ur time and support and help create an enviroment where female pros can thrive. thank u
