i understand the sentiment behind posts going around that are like “teams shouldn’t sign players and then never play them”, but this is just….how sports work. teams sign players as subs for starters in case they can’t play, a player is consistently outperformed by someone else, etc, and often they just don’t end up in the starting roster ever. and while that’s sad, it’s not really the org’s fault. theres definitely been some bad handling of benched players (see: valiant sister team, players who never participate in scrims), but sometimes a player is just more helpful behind the scenes than onstage and that’s unavoidable.
I’m CONVINCED there’s a Melbourne team. That they’re announcing today. And I almost want to believe there’s a German team, which could be NINE. Like, the rumor that there’s MORE than six is like….. paradigm shifting for me??? Like???? In my brain I was like “six new ones” and now i’m like “how am i supposed to stan this many teams”
THAT’S SUCH A MOOD!! the thing i was thinking about it that, if they want to keep their current schedule, they need 24 teams to keep their current schedule and have each team only play once a week. if they drop a day off the schedule, they can cut it down to 18 teams needed. so, essentially what i’m saying is that unless the rehaul the entire schedule, it’s possible we’re going to have 10 expansion teams. like, i don’t expect it to happen,,,, but if there’s already rumors of 8,,,,,
the places i absolutely expect to get teams are toronto, paris, busan, melbourne, and berlin!! i’m so excited ajkfldsaflkd;s. it’s still so many more than i expected this is great
