This is just over one minute of the Gumball episode “The Console” and I swear in all my life I’ve never seen a cartoon do a video game parody this savvy. The entire episode is like this. They even imitated the exact battle theme from Final Fantasy VII.

One of the original concepts for the Zelda that would become Breath of the Wild was an alien invasion set in a modern Hyrule. Link in a hoodie on a bike and Ganondorf wearing a t-shirt are things that actually exist in actual official Nintendo concept art.
