this is GREAT news for any dragons fan. for reference u4 was infamous for paying people to boost his ovw account so he’d be seen as more credible of a coach, even going so far as to promise OWL contracts to young players who didnt know better if theyd boost his account. he got this job (and others in his career) through connections and nepotism, not personal merit. and he never suffered any repercussions for this

under his coaching one of the most talented rosters, LGD gaming, failed to ever claim any success. after he left they started improving a LOT. He’s also largely responsible for not signing players from the best teams in china to the shanghai dragons, instead signing players he had personal connections with. U4 singlehandedly ruined so much in chinese overwatch that it’s almost impressive. Good fucking riddance. Hopefully the dragons will see an improvement now… HOPEFULLY

additionally, RUI (the former coach of by far the best team in china, miraculous youngster, who were pretty much even with seoul dynasty right before OWL started) will be arriving in the US “no later than late March”. hopefully, HOPEFULLY, things start to look up for them
