The Wide-Boy 64 was an unreleased add-on for the Nintendo 64, intended to let the console play Game Boy and Game Boy Color games similar to the Super Game Boy add-on for the Super Nintendo. As it never saw production, only few prototype copies exist. The below images show Super Mario Bros. Deluxe running on the Wide-Boy 64; the console does not update the entire frame at once, leading to sprites appearing distorted. Whether this problem was ultimately responsible for the Wide-Boy 64 being scrapped is unknown.
