taimou literally almost had a stroke due to stress and while i hate the guy that brings up a lot in terms of player conditions in the owl

There is a reason you only see this burnout in a few teams (DF, Seoul, London partly) because they do not have the internal, for the fans not visible, infrastructure to run this kind of marathon that is OWL. If you look at behind the scenes stuff from Houston, NYXL or Philly, you can see they do a lot to keep their players relaxed and happy
a lot of it also depends on winning and losing tho. all the teams listed are not used 2 losing particularly (GC Busan won APEX, this loss streak is very uncharacteristic, Seoul is reguarded as one of the best teams ever) and i think it’s more of a league in general problem to work out. NYXL hasn’t lost, and Philly’s time in the spotlight has been during pretty much smooth sailing win wise. (ofc, they do have more infrastructure anyway, NYXL is so good because of their staff.)
some teams do it better than others ofc, like Shanghai has an onsite therapist/psychiatrist and their players seem to be fine. but in “good” teams like Valiant we still saw Agilities have mental breakdowns. I think the League just needs more stuctured rules on what a team has to have. like, 1 coach,1 assistant coach, a therapist- etc, you know? or at least routine checkups. just to prevent this stuff from happening.
Fissure also said he almost got to the point where Rascal was but he stopped because he was able to talk to someone and work the team’s problems out. I feel like many issues could resolve themselves if they had league mandated checkups not only physically, but mentally
