i feel like geguri herself is probably referring to

clickbait-y ass articles/videos and reddit threads, i.e. stylosa making a video literally titled “First Female Pro Signed to an Overwatch League Team” or lets not forget that shitshow of a kotaku article.

it’s not the first time she’s mentioned her discomfort with people reporting on her and it’s not the first time people have twisted her situation.

i can recall two interviews where geguri was actually willingly involved, which you can find here and here. the people who think she got signed to an OWL team are getting ahead of themselves; all geguri has said is that she’s going to a foreign team, which may as well be a tier 2 team (contenders) or even a tier 3 team. 

with that being said, lets keep it cool with the rumors, etc? it’s perfectly okay being excited about her finding a team, her potentially being able to move up towards an OWL team in the future and which teams she’d make a nice fit for etc (i mean i’m guilty myself, i started thinking forward as well and felt super excited cause she really deserves being in a tier 1 team) but it’s important to remember this is all really fresh and there’s probably a good reason as to why she hasn’t announced her team yet/said team hasn’t announced her being on their roster yet. she may as well still be in the middle of handling contracts etc, we don’t know. 

in the meantime, support her on twitch and youtube! she streams alot, in fact she is streaming As I Write This. subscribe while she’s in queue and she’ll squeeze her pachimari for you which i can’t Stop mentioning cause it’s still the most wholesome shit..
